Sonia & Brian Hadlow Manor

On a gorgeous sunny day, 7th March 2015. I arrived to be the photographer for Sonia and Brian's wedding at Hadlow Manor Hotel.

Hadlow Manor Hotel is an amazing venue for wedding photography, they have managed to blend the old building with stunning contemporary features.

The spacious bridal suite is fantastic for bridal preparations, with lots of window light for pretty bridal shots and lots of room to get into the dress.

The hotel was refurbished in 2011 and looks fantastic, the rooms are elegant and the staff go above and beyond to look after everyone.

Hadlow Manor Hotel is nestled in beautiful Kentish countryside, between Maidstone and Tonbridge. It is a Grade II listed Georgian manor house with a stunning staircase and gorgeous gardens.

I had a great time at the bridal prep Sonia’s daughter Jess was rocking the camera, keeping me busy snapping while Sonia and Blue had their hair and make-up done. It all seemed very calm during the getting ready stages but once Sonia stepped into her dress the emotion of the day started to tell.

Sonia looked stunning in her dress it was fitted with lace detail at the top and a plunging back that buttoned down to the floor.

Meanwhile Brian was getting ready with Paul his best man. Thankfully I had the chance to get them outside for a few photos before the ceremony.

The ceremony was beautiful. The room was decorated with white flowers tied with cream voile ribbon and had wonderful natural lighting.

Once the ceremony had taken place and people had a drink in their hands I grabbed Sonia and Brian for an hour to get their photos done together.

As a couple they were a pleasure to work with. It was clear to see how well they got on, and I was never short of fun and amusing expressions that bring their wedding photographs to life.

The wedding breakfast had a lovely turquoise and sea side theme. With hurricane vases containing sand and candles with various shells and star fish as centre pieces.

They also had a funky candy cart and an awesome wedding cake made by Blue the matron of honour and Sonia the bride that had a Mr & Mrs Starfish on the top.

The day ended with a perfect sunset and I could not help myself but take advantage of this opportunity by whisking Sonia & Brian off for a few more photos and we weren’t disappointed.

After the wedding breakfast they had the speeches and threw confetti and cut their awesome cake then headed to the dance floor for the first dance to One Direction’s “little things”.

Everyone joined Sonia & Brian on the dance floor for the evening. They also had a photo booth for all their guests to enjoy, which I may have jumped in too, (several times).

The guests all seemed like they were having a great time. It was such a pleasure to be involved in this charming intimate occasion.

I wish Sonia & Brian all the love and luck in the world for their lives together.
